Spiny lobsters are iconic to the Florida Keys—but their story goes far beyond the plate. Join Thomas R. Matthews, Program Administrator with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, for an in-depth look at the biology, management, and cultural importance of spiny lobsters in the Keys.
This engaging lecture explores how science, conservation, and sustainable fisheries intersect, offering insight into one of the region’s most valuable marine resources and the role it plays in Florida’s coastal ecosystem and economy.
