Guest Services & Resort Policies
What's the best way to get to the resort from the nearest airports (MIA/FLL/EYW)?
The Islander Resort is easily accessible from several major airports. Most guests fly into Miami International Airport (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and drive along the scenic Overseas Highway (U.S. 1) - about 1.5 to 2 hours from Miami and 2 to 2.5 hours from Fort Lauderdale. The resort is also approximately 1.5 hours from Key West International Airport (EYW). Rental cars and private shuttle services are the most convenient options for reaching Islamorada and exploring the Keys at your own pace.
Do you offer any shuttle services to the airport?
The resort does not offer direct airport shuttle service; however, guests can easily arrange private transportation or shared shuttles through local providers serving Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Key West airports. Our front desk team is happy to assist with recommendations or help schedule transfers in advance of your arrival.
How much is parking at the resort?
Parking is complimentary - self-parking is included for resort guests as part of the resort fee.
Do you have an ATM on the property?
Islander Resort is a cashless property, and there is no ATM on-site. All major credit cards are accepted throughout the resort.
What is your smoking policy?
Islander Resort is a non-smoking property. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside guest rooms or public buildings. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available throughout the resort for guests who wish to smoke.
Do you offer Wi-Fi throughout the resort?
Yes - complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the Islander Resort, including guest rooms, suites, pools, dining areas, and public spaces.
Is the resort accessible for guests with disabilities? What accessible features are offered?
Yes - Islander Resort is fully accessible for guests with disabilities and designed to comply with ADA guidelines. The resort offers accessible guest rooms, including the One-Bedroom Ocean View Accessible Suite, with open floor plans, barrier-free layouts, and accessible bathrooms. Islander Resort is ideally located in the heart of Islamorada, surrounded by some of the Florida Keys' most popular attractions. On property, guests can explore the Florida Keys History & Discovery Center, featuring exhibits on local history, marine life, and the iconic Alligator Reef Lighthouse. Are the pools heated? What are the pool hours?
Yes - both of our oceanfront pools are heated and open year-round. Pool hours are 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., allowing guests to enjoy swimming and relaxing well into the evening.
Is there a gym or fitness center on-site? What are its hours?
Yes - our on-site fitness center is complimentary for all guests and open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It features cardio equipment, free weights, and strength-training machines, providing everything you need for a great workout at any time during your stay.
Do you have laundry facilities for guests?
While there are no self-service laundry facilities on-site, the resort offers laundry and dry-cleaning valet service for guests. Please contact the front desk to arrange pickup and return during your stay.
Is there a spa or salon at The Islander?
While The Islander Resort does not operate an in-house full-service spa, guests can enjoy relaxing treatments nearby at Blu Bamboo Salon & Day Spa or Aqua Salon & Day Spa, both located in Islamorada.
Are beach chairs and towels provided?
Yes - complimentary beach chairs and towels are provided for all registered guests. You'll find them available daily at the beach and pool areas for your convenience.
What kind of on-site dining options are available?
Islander Resort offers several on-site dining options, including Tides Beachside Bar & Grill, serving fresh coastal fare in an open-air oceanfront setting; Drift, featuring island-inspired cuisine and craft cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere; Coccoloba, offering tropical drinks and light bites by the beach; and Sandy's, providing poolside and grab-and-go options perfect for a quick refresh. Do the rooms have a mini-fridge or microwaves?
