How many guests can the Islander Resort accommodate?

Our venue can host elopements or weddings from 10 guests to 2000 guests, with multiple venues and scenic locations depending on the couples vision.

When is the best time of year to host a wedding at the Islander Resort in Islamorada?

At the Islander Resort, every season offers a unique charm for your wedding. Early spring through mid-summer and mid- to late fall are popular times for their beautiful weather. For potentially lower rates and fewer crowds, consider late summer or early fall. Check local event calendars to avoid dates with major events.

What are the closest major airports to the Islander Resort?

The nearest major airports are Miami International Airport (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Key West International Airport (EYW) is also an option.

What are our options for inclement weather?

We require all wedding parties of 75 guests and above to secure a tent as weather back up. We do secure the Hibiscus Ballroom as back up space, but maximum capacity for the venue is about 120 guests including rounds and a dance floor.

Do we need a room block for our guests?

A room block is not required to secure your wedding at the Islander but is highly recommended to ensure all of your guests have a place to stay.

Can we customize our menu?

Absolutely. Our menus can be customized to reflect each couple’s preferences, tastes, and specific needs for their celebration.

Can we bring outside catering?

Yes, outside catering may be permitted for specific dietary needs, such as a Kosher menu, with approval from our team at the time of contracting.

Is there a food and beverage minimum?

Yes. Food and beverage minimums vary based on guest count, day of the week, and time of year, allowing for flexibility based on the details of your celebration.

How early can vendors access the property?

Vendor access varies based on resort happenings and the setup needs for your celebration. Your wedding specialist will provide specific load-in and load-out details for your vendors.

Are outdoor events subject to noise restrictions or ending times?

Yes. In accordance with the Monroe County Noise Ordinance, outdoor events must conclude by 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11 PM Friday and Saturday.

Is there a bridal suite?

Yes. A bridal suite may be arranged as the guest room where the couple will be staying. Alternatively, the Palmetto Room may be reserved for an additional fee as a dedicated bridal getting-ready space.
